Overview of Status:

New Hampshire has relatively little coastline, so offshore wind development is more likely in the waters of adjacent states. However, New Hampshire has interest in developing regional siting criteria, research, and technology testing.

New Hampshire has a “one stop” process for energy siting; procedures being developed for expedited on-shore wind permitting could be adapted for offshore wind development.
